Hitting a baseball is more mental than people think.  Physicians say that hitting a 90 mph fastball is physically impossible.  The way that hitters are able to hit pitches that move so quickly is to cheat a little.  The way the hitters cheat is by guessing on which pitch is going to be thrown.  However, the hitters have an idea of what is coming.  Before every game, the batters will study the opposing team’s pitcher.  They will see what count they tend to throw certain pitches and where they tend to throw them.
